The 1950’s was a time of high fashion and simple tastes. Many people enjoy the 1950’s dynamic because the roles were very well defined. In a traditional 1950’s 24/7 M/s or D/s home the Master/Dom holds all/most of the power, is the main decision maker, and is usually the breadwinner. The sub in this kind of dynamic is usually the homemaker (takes care of the home, family, kids, Master, etc.). 

However, we all know who the real Master of the household is- the woman. Even though the man made the money, the woman controlled it. What is more submissive than the man being the cash cow, being out all day and making money while the woman stays home and lives in the lap of luxury, having tea with her friends and spending his money to keep herself beautiful?
