Training: Soft Skills 1

Soft skills are a necessary part of any relationship. In the kink world, they play a key role in all areas of interaction. Before you ever pick up a toy/tool and engage in using it, you have  done some sort of negotiation. You may have done this over text. You may have done it in person. It may be on the spot. But you wouldn’t hit someone until you do it, right?  

While negotiation is one massive subset of soft skills, there are so many more that go into this, and you might have never thought about them beyond negotiating.   We are going to explore a wide variety of soft skills: 

• Roles and Honorifics and Pronouns 
• Negotiations 
• Aftercare  
• Drop 
• Communication styles 
• Limits 
• Consent 
• Boundaries  so much more  

We will do a basic review of many of these skills in our introductory classes. In later classes we will go in-depth on the meatier topics.   Have no fear, we will get to “hard skills.” We are just getting started as your newly formed education committee, and soft skills are where you must start in order to have a great scene.  

Join us at subSpace, 7-10pm on March 17th & 24th, although not a requirement, these two classes will build on each other. 

Ending our nascent classes with a themed party on March 25th where you can practice all your new skills.
