Dungeon Monitor Training

One of the most important volunteer roles in any BDSM play space are the Dungeon Monitors(DM). DM’s help keep the space safe for all party goers, help ensure that the rules of the space are followed, and - when they do their job well – make the experience of being in the dungeon better for all. When DM’s are not up to the task, they can make the experience much less fun for all attendees. During this session, you will learn:

-          Safety essentials DM’s should watch for

-          How to comport yourself as a DM

-          How to enforce the rules of the space

-          What to do in emergent situations such as injuries or police making an appearance at the space

-          When and how to interrupt a scene when you believe the scene is unsafe

-          How to handle situations where the person you are interacting with does not receive your input well

This class is intended for both those who wish to be a DM as well as anyone who simply wants to better understand the DM’s role.

Rich is a long-time kinkster from the Olympia, WA area where he serves on the board of trustees for his local dungeon. He teaches on a variety of topics, but his specialties are impact play and safety. He believes in a flexible style of dominance, being able to shift from savage to soft depending on the needs of his submissives and bottoms. His slave calls him (sometimes sarcastically) the "most aggressive, domly-dom piece of man meat EVER."
